Wetland Plant of the Week #14

Salicornia virginica

"Glasswort"

Obligate, succulent plant with rounded leaves fused to a fleshy jointed stem, salt tolerant and found in salt and brackish marshes.



Photographed earlier this week in Yankeetown, Florida.
