But after clicking through your profile and a few of the blogs that you host, I’m inclined to think that you are serious.

For the sake of clarity, by “serious” I don’t mean to imply that I think that you sincerely believe in UFOs, 911 conspiracies, inanimate objects with magic powers, or any of that other mumbo-jumbo that you seem to promote; because I don’t. Rather, by “serious” I mean to suggest that I think that you push ridiculous notions for personal gain; not for sarcasm. Now, I’m not sure if the personal gain you seek comes in the form of comforting solidarity with gullible and superstitious people, or maybe the gain that you get comes from a feeling of ‘spiritual worth,’ or as a third alternative, perhaps the personal gain you seek is in monetary form – as in selling the crystal skull handbags featured on your website. Regardless of the benefit you receive, I guess you are “serious.”

That’s why I’m at an impasse…

You see, I don’t think that there’s enough space on this blog to explain the shortfalls in your reasoning – though there’re a vast quantity of them – and, even if there were ample space for that massive undertaking, I don’t think that I could handle the job.

Guess that I’ll pretty much leave it at that… I live in a world of objective realities bound by physics and chemistry, whereas you seem to roam in a world of subjective truths bound by the extents of your cranium.

Hope this helps sell your handbags!Johnnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04947292290232739954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6571612235074696770.post-24900575328730101922009-12-08T17:24:53.691-05:002009-12-08T17:24:53.691-05:00We are not evolving as a species..we have falen fr...We are not evolving as a species..we have falen from a more perfect world where beings of a much higher "consciousness" exist..but are invisable.

Metaphysical reality is conceived by our philosophers and "intelligent" "people of faith" who have had an experience of a "supernatural" or uncommon type that compels then to "believe" in a Creator.

To trust "sciene" explicitley for "reality" simply shows a lack of imagination and lack of an awareness of the history of those that have lived a life a "faith" combined with the logic and reasoning of facts, as a method of building a "model" of the natural processes, but not of "The Divine".
As for Isaac Newton (who is generally credited with laying down the bedrock of the "scientific method", spent at least as much research time and energy on matters of a "spiritual" nature as he did of the natural order of "things". (Kepler as well) They belived in a supernatural "divine" intelligence that set this whole thing in motion "In the beginning".
Intellectual arrogance can blind an ndividual to investigate the "divine" and use the excuse that "religion(s) fall short in communicating much needed scientific verifacations..but that is no real excuse to hinder anyone form the "personal"solitary investigation of the Divine.
The solitary "soul" is the best frame of mind to investigate "reality" anyway..right?Robert DeFordhttp://thegreatskull.com/noreply@blogger.com
